This product was published on Yeah right it’s made in China, sure the pot coating doesn’t seem to be rock solid. And this is taking nearly one hour to cook half load of rice. But there’s that price. Me as a Korean I strongly approve this cooker as a perfect entry-level cooker. Been using it for nearly a year. And the pot coating had been scratched due to several mistakes(not using sponge side of dish sponge (!?), Putting metal utensils inside the pot… Etc etc…). However coating seemed to be quite sturdy enough. If y’all looking for the actual rock solid inner pot you guys gotta get the stuff w Xwall. But by that price point you probably would’ve gotten two of this one. Idk. It’s the right price with right product. Rice quality is pretty good it gets cooked all nice and sticky(I prefer soggy rice over the typical rice coz It makes the rice dryness right after 12hrs.) Rice does get the yellowness + wateryness after 72hrs.(with botan rice, and this usually means that batch of rice went bad ) unless you’re actually going to have the rice 24/7 (yeah really 24/7 have the rice all the time). This isn’t the right product for you. But with simplicity and how compact it is. there is nothing better than this cooker. Don’t be silly about what you got. You really do get what you paid for.. | Warranty | As a Korean, I eat rice every single day and I know Cuckoo is the best rice cooker brand out there. I’ve always been using this brand all my life, same goes for my mother. But I never knew there is a made-in-china version and that’s why this was so cheap. I should have checked twice. This one does have a “turbo” cooking feature, which my old cuckoo usually had 10 cups of rice done for 20 minutes. But this one takes forever to “fast cook” 3 cups of rice. so what’s the point of having a fast cooking feature when it’s only like 4-5 minutes faster than regular time? (45-50 minutes??) It does what it’s supposed to do, and keeps the rice fresh for a couple of days (the Korean made ones are usually good up to 90 hours- I tried) overall, it’s ok for its price, but I would consider this product as a second machine, (in case I have to cook kalbi chim in my big cuckoo and have to make rice at the same time.. etc) |
